Okay, so it’s only Tuesday–not anywhere close to Friday, and I wore ripped up jeans to school. Is that bad? I was thinking if I dressed it up with a cute top, cardi, and gold accessories it would be close enough to professional. Not sure I made it all the way to “close enough to professional,” but I like this sort of boho-comfy look.

Holey moley, Batman, look at that sun-damaged arm. Yikes. Ah, the joys of close-up skin shots.
Overall, I still felt professional and competent in this outfit, but I’m afraid the ripped jeans were just a step too far across the professional line. Our school climate isn’t overly formal, attire-wise. Lots of teachers wear jeans, and a few even seem to be stuck in “jeans, quarter-zip top, and tennis shoes” land, so it’s not against any sort of dress code to wear jeans at our school.
What’s your opinion on ripped boyfriend jeans for teaching? TOO casual? Unprofessional? Acceptable? I’d love to get your feedback on this.
