Subscription Box Saturday: Rocksbox #1

This week I received my first Rocksbox! I got some great stuff and I’ve worn a few of the pieces already this week as you might have seen on my Instagram feed.

If you’ve never heard of Rocksbox (I hadn’t before last month), it’s a subscription box service that sends you three stylish pieces of designer jewelry — you guessed it — in a box. The cost is $19 a month, and like with Stitch Fix, you fill out a style questionnaire and indicate “wish list” items and your Rocksbox stylist sends you items based on your interest. The thing I love about it is you can keep the items as long as you like (the $19/month is sort of like a rental fee) or you can buy them at Rocksbox’s “insiders’ price,” which is discounted. On the flipside, you can send back the box whenever you want and receive 3 new items!

Here’s what I received in my first box:

1. Kendra Scott Rayne Necklace in White Pearl ($64)

This necklace is so versatile. I’ve seen a lot of bloggers and Instagrammers wearing it for the past few months. The gold tassel chains are so light that they swing and the necklace itself was surprisingly light. I don’t like necklaces that weigh my neck down. The white pearl is double-sided, so if it gets twisted around you see the same thing on the other side. Love this piece!

2. Olivia & Grace Hexagon Pave Ring in Moonstone ($70)

I was hesitant about this at first. I’m really not a ring wearer (except for my wedding band, which I have to wear on my right hand due to an old injury to my ring finger on my left). Plus, I grossly overestimated my ring size on the questionnaire, so the ring is huge. Guess that’s what happens when you don’t buy a ring for many, many years. BUT, this week I wore it on my middle finger and got so many compliments! The pave is subtle (I’m not one for the “diamond-y” look) around the edge, and the stone itself looks more modern than old lady. I had planned on never wearing this at all, but I’ve worked it in several times already and really like it!

3. House of Harlow 1960 Meteora Mini Triangle Studs Set in Howlite & Black ($20)

I really like these studs because they’re simple, but they have a lot of edge to them. I like wearing them at the same time and they look so cute together. For this price, I’m considering actually buying them.

I will most likely return all three of these for a new set, but not for a while because I really like wearing all of them! I love the idea of being able to swap out jewelry to keep things fresh.

Rocksbox Coupon Code for You!

If you would like to try Rocksbox, I just so happen to have a coupon code you can use to get your first month FREE! Just go to and use promo code JENNYMBFF9 to get your free month.

I’m new to Rocksbox, but so far I’m very impressed. If you’re a Rocksbox veteran, I’d love to hear about some of the pieces you’ve gotten and how you’ve liked it.
