So how was your Valentine’s Day? Mine was pretty uneventful. We don’t ever really do much for V-Day — never have. I get the kids and the hubs a few goodies, but that’s about it. Is that weird? Seems like everyone else gushes about how they’re getting flowers, going out to eat, dressing up, giving extravagant gifts, etc. I guess that’s just not us. Anywho, on to the outfit.
What are your thoughts on pattern mixing? Specifically, how many patterns is too many? I sure hope it’s not three. I like how the smaller, less busy plaid in the scarf and the smaller leopard pattern look with the slightly wider black & white stripes in this top.
What would you think about this same look, but with black jeans? Too costume-y? I do like how the blue denim makes everything less matchy-matchy. As if 3 patterns together could be matchy? You know what I mean.
I did wear this outfit to school, and not even on a Friday. Our administration has recently clarified that we CAN wear jeans whenever we want, as long as we keep it professional. I love our administration!!!!!! Of course I have already been wearing jeans several days a week for the last few years without being sure it was okay, but we don’t need to go into that.
Those slip ons look so comfy! That’s awesome that you can wear jeans to work. I recently paired my leopard coat with a striped shirt and I had so much fun wearing both patterns together

Emily, I love the bold leopard print of the coat with the fine stripes in your top. Great styling! I thank my lucky stars every day that we can wear jeans to school. I wear them almost every day! ~Jenny
