Review of My 17th Rocksbox Set + Promo Code!

This time my Rocksbox set contained three pieces that really don’t go together at all, but that I LOVED individually! Actually, I’d rather have it this way because I am not one for matchy-matchy sets of jewelry. Nope.

So here’s what I received this time:

2. Perry Street ‘Perla’ Statement Necklace (Member’s Price $90)

Only three words to describe this necklace: DROP.DEAD.GORGEOUS. When I first saw this necklace in the box I thought it looked a little fussy — not at all my style. I really have no ability to visualize the potential in jewelry that I’m not wearing apparently because once I tried it on, I “got” it. It’s a total outfit-maker. This is the type of necklace that you can throw on over a gray tee and make it look like you’re dressed up. I plan on doing just that tomorrow– check back then to see this beauty paired with one of my new Teacher Squad tees. The only thing stopping me from snapping up this stunning necklace is the fact that it costs a LOT of beans. Do I want to blow this much money on one necklace? YES! But should I? Well, that’s a question I just don’t want to answer right now.

Here’s a close-up. Isn’t it stunning? There is nothing — absolutely NOTHING — that this necklace couldn’t improve upon. I can’t imagine a color that it wouldn’t go with, and it would even look fab against leopard, stripes, florals, camo, and any other pattern. May have to keep this one for a while so I can try it with all of those!

2. Kendra Scott ‘Rayne’ Necklace in Gold Abalone (Member’s Price $90)

Ugh, another stunning $90 necklace that I want, but can’t afford. It’s all good, though — I’ll have fun wearing it until I send it back. Kendra Scott jewelry is so hot right now and has been for a few years. This necklace was ubiquitous last year in the Instagram world as well as on the blogs. It’s not ruling the world as much this spring, only because Kendra has a whole host of other beautiful necklace styles out there along with this one. The abalone is so pretty and as always my girl Kendra’s goldtone is so light and shiny. This is a long necklace even though the pictures don’t show that. It hits slightly above my belly button area. Perfect length for drapey tees and cardigans.

And here it is a little closer against a different background:

3. Sophie Harper ‘Erin’ Stud Pack (Member’s Price $36)

Now these cute little studs are a lot closer to my price range. I love all three! They’re delicate, but edgy. They look great together if you have multiple ear piercings, and they look just as good as solitaire studs. My favorites are the little triple hexagons.

I was super-excited to wear these, but I ran into a problem. Probably this wouldn’t be a problem for a lot of other people, but since I have very short ear lobes, the plastic disc backs of these earrings actually extended down past the bottom of my ear so you could see them from the front. Not cool. Not cool at all. I am thinking about keeping these, but I would have to replace all of the backs. I probably have other earring backs that I could just swap out temporarily, but it’s kind of disappointing. See how big the backs are for these dainty studs?

All in all, another Rocksbox set that was a perfect match for my style. My stylist, Jessica, nailed it! Wish I could keep all three of these. For free. (I did say “wish,” you know.)

What in the heck is Rocksbox?

In case you’ve never heard of Rocksbox, it’s basically a jewelry subscription. Your stylist sends you three pieces of jewelry to wear as much as you like for as long as you like. You can send them back when you’re done and they’ll send you a new set. The cost is $19 a month and you can cancel any time. You can also opt to buy any or all of the jewels in your set. If you buy all three, you get a discount of $10. Plus, each month you get a $10 credit to spend toward the purchase of any items. And at least for now, they’ve upped this $10 monthly credit to $21! They’re smart because all of these little perks make it really hard to resist the temptation of buying EVERYTHING they send you.

As you can see from this post title, I’m on my 17th Rocksbox set and I love it. It’s so much fun to get to try new jewelry all the time and I also like the fact that although I don’t get to keep everything, I also don’t have to find a place to store everything. You get to keep your look fresh and change things up all the time as styles change. Genius!
