Review of Stitch Fix #32

My 32nd Stitch Fix? Already? Cannot believe I have been Fixing for around 3 years now. This Fix was one of my all-time favorites! The colors were so bright and cheery and the clothes were fun. Here’s the rundown:

1. Crescent ‘Tamber’ Piping Trim Top ($48)

The colors in this top were so pretty, and my eye has been drawn to more tropical floral prints lately. I absolutely loved the white piping and the material was great. The downsides? This tank was just a little too big on me. Possibly if I sized down to a S it would have looked great, but it was a little bit much in a M and I wasn’t sure enough of the shape and sizing to try the S.

Verdict: Sent it back, reluctantly.

2. Bancroft ‘Karlita’ Hammered Coin Earrings ($28)

These earrings were really pretty and eye-catching despite their small size. I do already have several pairs of gold earrings that I like, though, so these didn’t tempt me even though they were really pretty.

Verdict: Sent them back.

3. Kut from the Kloth ‘Siena’ Cropped Pant ($58)

Oh. My. Gosh. This blue! I could stare at this color all day long. It reminds me of pictures of Greece with that gorgeous combination of Mediterranean blue and white. I have a few other pairs of Kut from the Kloth jeans so I know I like them, but the sizing has been a little inconsistent on these — at least on me. I have a pair of white KFTK jeans in size 10 that are a little snug, and a pair of camo KFTK jean shorts in size 10 that hang off of me. These pants are a size 10 and they are a little too big around the waist and a little too long (they’re supposed to be cropped, but I have to roll them up once to be cropped), but I loved them so much that I decided to keep them and I’m going to take them to be altered. They’are actually a little too big all over, but when I wear them I kind of get that slightly slouchy boyfriend chino vibe, which I really like. Plus, they’re super-comfy.

Verdict: Kept them!

4. Loveappella ‘Earnest’ Knit Swing Tank ($44)

Once again, they had me at color. The pattern is sort of a watercolor painterly floral, but the colors in this stretchy, soft, swing-y tank were so unique that I was a goner the minute I saw it in the box. I like that this tank is more fitted toward the top and swings out at the bottom. This way you don’t look so much like a bell like what happens with a lot of swing tanks. (Yes, I realize it’s quite possible that it’s me, not the swing tanks, that cause the aforementioned bell effect.) Anyway, this top is a total keeper. So I kept it.

Verdict: Kept it!

5. Hailey 23 ‘Sheli’ Jersey V-neck Maxi Dress ($78)

This dress was so many things: flattering, comfortable, gorgeous, stretchy, flowy, cool, dressy, and casual. There is also one more thing that it was that is the only reason I didn’t keep it: too long. I know I could probably get it shortened, but I was already going to buy the pants and get them worked on and I really don’t need a maxi dress. No matter how flattering, comfortable, gorgeous….you get the idea. Curse you, abnormally short and stumpy legs.

Verdict: Sent it back, with even more reluctance.

Have you tried Stitch Fix yet?

If not, you should definitely give it a whirl. It’s fun and even though I only keep items once in every few Fixes, I’ve found it immensely helpful for helping me pinpoint not just what I like and what I don’t like (although it has helped me do that), but also what looks good on me and what doesn’t, and what’s comfortable and boosts confidence — and what doesn’t.

Stitch Fix charges a $20 styling fee which is credited back toward any purchase you make out of your set. You can arranged to have Fixes come to you on a regular basis or just try a one-time-only Fix. When you sign up, you’ll complete a questionnaire to help the stylist get to know your preferences. I highly recommend showing the stylist a Pinterest board (like my own “Look Book” board) where you’ve pinned clothes and outfits you like. This really helps them “see” your style. Click to sign up at Stitch Fix and get ready for the awesomeness!

As a side note, I love these colors all together — so summery!
