Review of my 21st Rocksbox Set + Promo Code!

I’ve been Rocksboxing (yes, that is an English teacher-approved verb) for several years now and the stylists never disappoint. In my latest Rocksbox set, I got a good mix of neutral vs color, and statement vs understated. Here are my thoughts on this set.

2. Gorjana ‘Vivienne’ Necklace (Member’s Price $53)

This necklace was a bit longer than I expected. I didn’t measure it, but I’m guessing it’s probably 20″ instead of 16″ or 18″ like I thought it would be. That actually works out really well, because this necklace is absolutely perfect for layering. One of the reasons I don’t do a lot of necklace layering is because the necklaces seem to get tangled up. Does this happen to other people or is it just me? I don’t hear people talking about it, so maybe just me…. In any case, since this necklace was longer than my other “delicate” necklaces, it layered really well with them and did not get as tangled up as usual. One downside is that it is not adjustable, so it’s always going to be this longer length. Here’s a detail shot of the pendant part.

Here it is layered with a Rocksbox Jill Michael Delicate Bar Necklace (from my previous Rocksbox set) and a Baublebar circle pendant that I can’t find on their online store anymore. Looks pretty good, right? Well except for the close-up and in-person age spots, wrinkles, and crooked teeth. You can ignore those. Just focus on the necklaces and block the rest out. πŸ™‚

2. Perry Street ‘Piper’ Drops in Coral (Member’s Price $40)

Ooooh, do I love these earrings! I have been looking for a pair of reddish-coral statement earrings for a while now. Seems like most bright statement earrings out there are hot pink or turquoise. Both great, but I really wanted something coral-red. Turns out, they showed up on my doorstep! They are a little pricey at $40 (seeing how you can get similar earrings, like Charming Charlie’s Austin Earring or Target’s Sugarfix Triad Ball Drop Earrings for around $12-$13). But that color! It’s gorgeous. Not too neon-y orange and not too brick red: just the perfect bright coral red.

Here’s what they look like on. They’re just the right length: any longer and they’d be grazing my shoulders. Another thing I love about these earrings is that they’re very lightweight. No droopy earlobes here!

3. Kate Spade ‘Building Blocks’ Linear Earrings in White (Member’s Price $48)

These earrings are classic, yet modern: understated, yet noticeable. The white is a marble-like stone, which I always love. I actually received a pair of turquoise Building Blocks Linear Earrings in another Rocksbox set which I haven’t had a chance to post about yet (coming soon!). They also come in reddish coral, but I’ve only seen photos of the red color online (they look awesome, too!). I’m wearing these earrings in the photo of the layered necklaces above. Like the Piper Drops, these earrings are lightweight enough to wear all day. If they were in the $20 range, I’d probably buy them. Alas, ye olde budget mandates that I’ll need to pass on these. This time. πŸ˜‰

All in all I’d say this Rocksbox set was another winner. I’ve been wearing all three items quite a bit and they all mesh well with my style and existing jewelry.
