How to get air-dried beachy waves using Monat Curl Cream

How To Get Beachy Waves Monat Curl Cream

In the summertime, I love being able to skip the blow dryer and heat styling tools. Not only does it save time, but it’s also so much better for your hair, especially when it’s already taking a beating from the sun, the pool, the beach, and all of the other summer fun. Today I’m sharing a video tutorial showing how I get natural looking beachy waves with air-dried hair. The secret? Monat Curl Cream!

Disclosure: For the record, I am a Monat Market Partner, which means if you purchase products through these links, I will earn a small commission at no cost to you. It also means if you’ve been thinking of signing up to be a VIP (Monat membership where you get a discount on products you buy) or a Market Partner (Monat membership where you get a substantial discount on products and can also sell them), I can hook you up in those areas as well. I became a Market Partner because I wanted the discount since my family and I love Monat products and use a ton of them.

I’m a total video novice, so I’m not the best at pulling stills, thus the weird facial expressions in these photos.. Maybe next time I should just take some photographs of the results….. But for this post I wanted you to see my hair from the tutorial, and I didn’t think of taking photos until a few days after I made the video.

So, since I am sharing these photos with weird facial expressions, why not have a little fun?! Guess what movies/shows the quotes are from and check your answers at the bottom.

Similar Results Overnight with Air Dry Cream

Monat makes a product similar to the Curl Cream called Air Dry Cream. It’s designed to help hair air dry without frizz. I’ve had great results with it and use it a lot in the winter. With my hair’s natural wave, I get some very light bend when my hair dries with the Air Dry Cream, and it’s shiny, soft, and holds well without any crunchiness. If you have medium-to-longer length hair, you can make beachy waves by adding the Air Dry Cream to your damp/towel-dried hair and then braiding your hair. I recommend letting the braids dry overnight because braided hair takes longer to dry than loose hair. But in the morning you can take out the braids and have pretty, glossy waves.

Of course you can also make beachy waves by blowdrying your hair and then using a curling iron or flat iron, but I like to avoid heat styling whenever possible to save my poor fine, thin hair from damage.
