Do 310 Shakes Live Up to the Hype?
If you’ve been on social media lately, you’ve probably seen a celebrity with a 310 Shake. Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner, J Woww, Brittany Cartwright, and others are snapping photos of themselves with their 310 Nutrition Shakes and talking about the great results they’re getting. The 310 Nutrition Shakes get great reviews everywhere you look (their own website, plus Amazon reviews and scores of other individuals’ reviews). Recently 310 Nutrition contacted me to see if I’d like to try a sample pack of their products, and since I have been curious about this brand for a while, I eagerly agreed. In today’s post I’ll share my honest experience with the products I received in my complimentary sample pack. Many thanks to 310 Nutrition for letting me try these out, and for providing a FREE EXPEDITED SHIPPING coupon code for my followers: just enter 310JENNYM at checkout and your shipping cost will be zero.

What’s 310 Nutrition?
The tagline at 310 Nutrition‘s website reads: “Healthy Products You Can Trust.” They are passionate about “…helping our customers improve their lives by providing proven products that fit their lifestyle.” They have a lot of products, but they’re best known for their “310 Shakes.” These meal replacement shakes are clean eating, low calorie (just 90 calories per serving) shake mixes that have 15 grams of plant-based protein, 6 grams of carbohydrates, and zero sugars. They have about 30% of lots of different vitamins and minerals, and each scoop has probiotics to boost gut health as well. In addition to the 310 Shakes, they also offer green juice mixes, lemonade mixes, detox teas, and several other supplements.
Products I Tried
I received the following products:
- Three 310 Shakes (Chocolate, Vanilla, and Toasted Coconut flavor)
- 310 Juice (Mixed Berry flavor)
- 310 Lemonade (Blackberry flavor)
- 310 Tea (Slimming Peach Detox flavor)
- 310 Shaker Bottle
Note: I will mostly be reviewing taste and how I felt, liked, or disliked these products. Obviously I’m a teacher and fitness instructor, not a doctor or a scientist, so I’m not the most qualified person to discuss the health benefits. If you’re interested, you can read the nutrition labels at the 310 Nutrition Website to see the ingredients in all of these products.
The 310 Shakes were the product I was most excited to try. I usually have two protein shakes per day: one after my workout, and then one for either breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon snack, depending on which part of my day is the most hectic. I typically look for 15-20 grams of protein per serving, and these shakes meet that criteria, coming in at 15 grams. I like that the protein is plant-based, and I like the additional vitamins and probiotics that are added. I tried these shakes with plain water, or in the case of the chocolate shake, a little coconut milk, so I could see what they were like alone. On 310 Nutrition’s website, they have a blog with a gazillion smoothie and shake recipes for all of their flavors.
- Chocolate — The Chocolate flavor was the first I tried, and folks, I almost tossed the other two after I tasted it. Not gonna lie: it doesn’t taste very good. I’m used to Complete Nutrition’s Chocolate Peanut Butter protein powder, which is so chocolaty and delicious, and the 310 Chocolate Shake was very bland and thin. I mixed it with coconut milk and a little water because I love a good chocolate-coconut combo, but this was pretty thin and flavorless. I tried the shake as an afternoon snack, and I will say the shake filled me up and I had a good amount of energy and wasn’t hungry for the next several hours. But the taste? Bleh.
- Vanilla — I tried the Vanilla flavor for breakfast an hour or so before going to an intense kickboxing workout to see if it gave me enough energy. It did! Even though it’s only 90 calories and low in carbs, it fueled my workout just fine. And, to my relief, the vanilla flavor was DELICIOUS! It reminded me of a vanilla-oatmeal type flavor, and I had just mixed it with plain water. It was still a little on the thin side, but the taste was so good it completely redeemed my disappointment in the chocolate.
- Toasted Coconut — Y’all, the Toasted Coconut flavor was even better than the Vanilla! It was SO flavorful and yummy I wished I had another one. I drank this one as a post-workout protein shake, and it went down smooth, filled me up, and was great for recovery. I was blown away by how delicious this was. As I was trying to get every last drop out of my shaker bottle, I decided I’m definitely going to order more flavors to try. But not chocolate.
Verdict: EXCELLENT for smaller meal replacement, post-workout, and snacks.
I’m not the best about eating my veggies, so I’ve tried various powdered greens juice mixes before to get in a few more servings. The ones I’ve had tasted TERRIBLE, so I was really nervous about trying this sugar free mixed berry flavor greens blend. The 310 Juice contains over 70 superfoods in each serving, plus digestive enzymes and probiotics. At just 10 calories, the 310 Juice a great way to get in your greens. If it tastes good. I can say I was pleasantly surprised at the flavor: it was actually good! I’m not a huge sweet tooth, so I don’t like things that are too sweet. This wasn’t too sweet – just a hint of sweetness, but none of the bitterness I remember from other greens blends. It reminded me of a weak Kool-Aid type drink. And it’s definitely quicker and easier to dump some powder into water than it is to cut up a bunch of fruits and veggies and blend or juice them every day. These would definitely be great for drinking on the go at school, work, or home.
Verdict: EXCELLENT to get a few more greens into your diet without having to make bitter faces while drinking.
After trying and liking the 310 Juice, I was pretty excited to try the 310 Lemonade. I drink 100 – 120 ounces of water every day, and although sometimes I drink my water straight, I’ll usually add in some flavor enhancer to at least half of the water I drink. I typically buy store-brand pineapple coconut or orange vanilla squirt-in flavors that most likely contain lots of artificial flavors and chemical sweeteners. Sue me, I love flavor in my water. So anyway, when I tried the blackberry lemonade, it was AMAZING! Again, the flavor wasn’t super strong, so if you like very sweet drinks, you might be disappointed. I thought the flavor was crisp and clear, and this lemonade made me feel really refreshed. It’s caffeine and artificial sweetener free, and it has 310 Nutrition’s added ” Greenselect® Phytosome™ ,” which they say is…”a special green tea extract which is caffeine-free and more absorbable than regular green tea, and therefore provides more weight loss benefits.” As a huge matcha green tea fan, that is appealing to me. The 310 Lemonade comes in lots of flavors: blackberry, regular, strawberry, raspberry, peach punch, wildberry, watermelon, and pineapple mango (!!!!). I will definitely be ordering more flavors to try.
Verdict: EXCELLENT for adding flavor to water to get more hydration! So delicious!!!! And I liked the added health/nutrition benefits.
In full disclosure, I had to Google what “detox tea” was because I’ve never tried it. I’ve never done a detox or cleanse, so I didn’t know if you only drank detox tea during a cleanse. Nope, I learned that detox teas are just to help your body get rid of toxins and aid in digestion and things like that. Although you can do a tea cleanse, that’s not the purpose of this detox tea. I received the “Slimming Peach Detox Tea,” and the package said it “Supports weight loss, Helps promote digestion,” and provides “Appetite control.” I was kind of worried about this because although I do love tea, I HATE peaches and peach-flavored things. Amazingly enough, the peach flavor in the tea was light and clean, and I drank the hot tea with just water. Normally when I drink hot tea I’ll add a little milk and honey, but this was so good I could drink it as-is. Looking at the back of the packet, I saw that it has stevia in it, so that’s probably why I didn’t need to add any honey. It was SO GOOD! I think I’d have to drink more of this to know if the health claims are legit, but since I liked I would have no problem drinking some every day. I also saw that it has green tea and guarana in it, but it didn’t give me any “wake up” effect, so I think I could drink it at bedtime. They also have Jasmine Mint tea (in both sachets and loose leaf) and regular flavor tea. Both had the stevia, so I think I’d like all three. I can’t wait to try the other two flavors.
Verdict: EXCELLENT! Surprisingly I liked the peach flavor.
The Bottom Line
Overall I am genuinely interested enough in the nutrition, ingredients, and flavor of all of the 310 Nutrition products (except the Chocolate Shakes – yuck!) that I’m going to order more and try them daily over a period of a few weeks. I’ll report back and let you know if I see any benefits like weight loss, energy, or improvements in general health. I’m pretty excited about the products I tried, and the taste was amazing (again, except for the chocolate shakes).
One Negative Aspect: Cost
The one downside I see to 310 Nutrition is the cost is pretty high. Compared to other protein shakes and supplement products, they’re not that expensive I guess. I just don’t buy things like this very often, except for protein powder. If I really think about it, I spend around $3 on a little bottle of water flavor enhancer that lasts me about a week (for me, about 10-12 servings). The 310 Lemonade, for example, costs $39 for 30 servings. So this would be about $20 more per month than I’m currently spending.
The shakes are comparable to what I’m already spending on protein powder, so there’s no difference there. The tea and green juice would also be additional costs.
One upside is that they do have bundles, sales, and deals, so if you buy several things at once, you will save quite a bit of money. Also, you can order by “subscription” and save 25% on the cost. Those benefits are pretty big if you do decide to become a repeat customer. I’m going to order a bundle for my next batch, but if I’m still as impressed as I am now, I plan to order by subscription.
